Google Drive || Backup and Sync Utility.

Backup and Sync utility is used mainly to create backup and access files directly from the PC/Laptop itself.

Installation and Settings Process:

  1. Need to install a utility from the Settings Menu known as “Get Backup and Sync for Windows”.
Click on Get Backup and Sync for Windows option from Settings menu.

2. Once you click on the above option, you will be redirected to Download Page where you have to choose download button under “Personal” section.

3. After few seconds “.exe” file get downloaded, now double click on the exe file and install the application.

4. After successful installation, it will be opened automatically, if not, use the below steps:

  • Click on Start Menu(Press Windows Keys)
  • Search for “Backup and Sync from Google” option and click it.
  • Click on Get Started option.

5. Now you have to login with Gmail ID and Password in the installed app.

6. There are three folders on the local drive which are linked by default with your Google drive, but you can change it using below the screen and click the Next button to proceed further.

7. By default all the google drive content would be stored under C:\Users\<username>\Google Drive folder, but you can change it using below the screen and click Next button to proceed further.

8. On clicking the Start button, syncing will start and all the data from the Google Drive would store on a local drive.
